What is the CO2 Subscription Plan and how to modify it?

Carbonating cylinders create bubbles. After some time, the carbonating cylinder runs out of CO2. The CO2 subscription service allows consumers to order CO2 exchange on an automatic recurring basis.

When signing up for the CO2 subscription plan, you pay the price of the CO2 plus taxes and shipping (if applicable).

Return Timeline: If no amendments have been made to your subscription, then the return window is the frequency selected plus 30 days. You can check the return date in My Account. If the cylinders are returned late or not at all, a £10 charge per cylinder applies (this charge will be fully refunded once the empty cylinders are returned to SodaStream).

How does the subscription work?

  1. Choose your cylinder type.
  2. Choose the quantity- between 2-4 cylinders (per order).
  3. Choose the delivery frequency- between 1-6 months.
  4. Enter your details (address & payment method).
  5. Receive cylinders automatically on a recurring basis!

How do I modify my subscription?

  1. Edit Subscription -
    • Change the cylinder type: The new cylinder type will apply to your next order.
    • Change the quantity: Adjust the number of cylinders for your next order.
    • Change the frequency: Update how often you receive shipments.
      Note: The original return date for your current order remains unchanged. If cylinders are not returned by the due date, a £10 charge per cylinder will apply. This fee is refunded when the cylinders are returned
    • Change Shipping address: Changes apply to your next order.
      1. Log in to your account.

      2. Go to Personal Details and add your new address to your Address Book.

      3. Go to the Subscription page.

        • On mobile, tap the 3rd icon from the left at the bottom of your screen.

      4. Select VIEW.

      5. Scroll to the Shipping Address section and click the pencil icon to edit.

      6. Choose your new address from the drop-down and click Update Now.

        • If it's not in the drop-down, make sure you've added it under Personal Details first.

          Note: Updating your address under Personal Details alone won’t change your subscription delivery address.
      7. You'll receive a confirmation email once the change is complete.
    • Change Payment information: Updates take effect on your next order.
      1. Log into your account.

        • If you’re using a mobile device, select the third icon at the bottom left of the screen.

      2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and find the section labelled “Payment information.” Click EDIT.

      3. A pop-up box will appear. Click on the box that says “Please send me an email to edit my payment method.”

      4. Another pop-up box will appear, advising that you will receive an email with further instructions on how to update your payment method.

      5. Go to the email inbox associated with your account and check the spam or junk folder in case the email has been delivered there.

      6. Open the email and click the “Confirm payment information” box. 
        > This will take you to our website.
        > You’ll see the current card associated with your subscription (only the last four digits are shown).

      7. Click underneath the card details where it says “change.”

      8. Enter your new card details.

      9. Scroll to the bottom of the card entry area and click on “Update Card.”

        • You may be asked to authenticate the update with your bank. This is a zero-value transaction, simply to update your card information.

      10. Return to our website and confirm the payment update.

        • The screen will refresh, and a confirmation box will appear at the top of the page.

      11. If you do not see this confirmation, please repeat the steps to update your payment details.

  1. Order now
    This feature allows you to accelerate the processing of your upcoming shipment and can be used anytime, even if you skipped a shipment before.

    Follow these steps:
    1. Sign in to 'My Account' and go to the subscription page. 
    2. Select the 'Order Now' option under the ‘Manage Subscription’ drop down menu. 
    3. Confirm your choice in the pop up. 
    4. You will receive an email confirmation of the update.
      • A new shipment is created the following day and shipped on the next working day (Monday–Friday).
      • Future shipments will align with your selected frequency.
      • ❗ Cylinders from the previous order must be returned by their original due date to avoid a £10 charge per cylinder. This fee is refunded when the cylinders are returned.
  2. 'Add Products to Next Shipment' - This feature allows you to add products* to your upcoming CO2 subscription shipment on a one-time basis**.
    This feature becomes available 5 days before your next scheduled shipment date.


    * The products available in this feature include SodaStream carbonating bottles, accessories and flavors (depends on the stock availability in each market).
    ** To add the same product to multiple CO2 subscription shipments, you will need to do it manually.

    Follow these steps to add products to your upcoming CO2 subscription shipment:

    1. Sign in to 'My Account' and you will be automatically directed to the subscription lobby page;
    2. Select the "Add products" option, which will be visible 5 days before your next shipment;
    3. Select the products you want to add from the available list;
    4. Approve the updated terms and conditions and confirm the products’ addition to your next shipment; Once confirmed, the next shipment will be updated immediately and shipped on the same day.
    5. A confirmation email will be sent to you. Additionally, you will be redirected to the order receipt page in ‘My Account’, where you can see the items that were included in the order.



    Please note –

    • Once you add the products, the next shipment is created immediately, and you will not be able to edit your selection of added products. The ‘add products’ button will be available again only 5 days prior to the next subscription shipment.
    • Free shipping is available for over £40.
    • There is a limit of up to 20 flavors and up to 20 accessories you can add to each CO2 subscription shipment.
  3. Reschedule Next Shipment
    This feature allows you to choose a different date for your next order, giving you more flexibility to get your shipment when it fits your schedule best, and it can be used anytime, even if you've skipped a shipment before.

    Follow these steps:
    1. Sign in to 'My Account' and go to the subscription page.
    2. Select the 'Reschedule Next Shipment' option under the ‘Manage Subscription’ drop down menu. 
    3. Use the calendar to choose a new date for your next shipment to be processed.
      • Your subscription frequency remains the same, but future orders will be scheduled based on the newly selected date.
      • Selection is available up to 6 months in advance.
      • Ideal for aligning deliveries with paydays or holidays. 
    4. Confirm your selection. 
    5. You will receive an email confirmation of the update.
  4. Skip Next Shipment
    The return date of the last shipment remains the same. If you have not finished with the cylinders, please contact Customer Care to discuss extending the return time (You won’t be charged for the skipped shipment).
  5. Cancel Subscription
    Sign in to 'My Account' and go to the subscription page > cancel subscription.
    • A delivery can’t be cancelled once it has already been shipped.
    • Cancelling your subscription cannot be undone!
    • To avoid any late return fees, please check the return date in your account. Any cylinders returned late, or not at all will be charged at £10 per cylinder and will be refunded when they are returned to SodaStream.

  • All actions in the subscription could result in charges being applied, with the exception of changing the quantity or the type of cylinders.
  • Please remember to return an empty cylinder for each refill cylinder you have ordered. The return timeframe will be based on the shipment frequency plus 30 days. If you do not return the empty cylinder(s) within this timeframe, or if you do not have any empty cylinders to return, or if the returned cylinder(s) is damaged, a charge of £10 per cylinder will be made.
